This French Country Diary is exactly as I expected. I have purchased this book annually for many years and was surprised to find it on and at a better price. This book is beautifully done inside and out.
I have used this diary for over twenty years. It is a treat to myself to turn the page and imagine that I am there. I use it at my work place and even though my appointments are in my "smart phone" I continue to use this diary as a stress reliever! Co-workers will also look longingly at the book when meetings drag on. I have at least 4 more years until retirement. Keep them coming until I can visit the places myself!
What a joy to see such exquisite art combined the pages of this engagement calender that could easily double as a journal. The slip case ensures that any notes will stay in the pages where you place them. Durable binding will last the year through. A wonderful gift for that special woman in your life.
Every year over the past few years I have purchased this diary for my wife who loves French Country art and design and decor. She keeps it on her desk in the kitchen and writes in it almost daily. Most of our home is in French Country. My wife loves home decorating, is an artist herself and collects similar art work. By accident I purchased one of these 13 years ago. I loved it so much I have gotten one every year since.
It is a high quality book. One side is a picture and the other side are boxes for each day. Large enough to journal things to do. A full address book in the back.

This diary is not really designed to be an efficient planner, certainly can't beat my smart phone's efficiency for that. It doesn't even have enough room to contain events that are normally recorded in a diary. I just leave it open on my desk and make personal notes in it. I love anything French the country, language, food and the way its prepared, clothing, wine, movies, etc. The pictures of the countryside and interior spaces, some exquisite - some not so much, inspire me to create something lovely from what I have on hand.
The French Country Diary for 2013 is very beautiful! It has alot of gorgeous photos of countryside as well as vintage country kitchens, food, flowers, etc. There is a reasonable sized box for each day so that you can record things you want to remember that happened that day or just record things you need to do. I bought it as a gift for my daughter. I know she will love it!
